Fridate with my Husband

I love it that my husband work on a 4/10 schedule although I  feel bad as well because  he has to work 10 hours in four days.  He works Mondays thru Thrusdays so it gives us  Fridays to  do things while the kids are  in school.  We don't really go on a date but  we call Fridays our Fridate as we get to on a long walk after dropping off the kids then we  eat brunch together at home.
On the days that he has to work, both of us wake up at 4:30 a.m and I prepare his breakfast and lunch because I don't want him to go to work with an empty stomach. I don't contribute much when it comes to finacial aspect in our home so I make sure to do my part to keep the Man of the house satisfied, as I believe in the saying that, "The way to a man's heart is his stomach".  When we have errands to do, we do it after our walks then after errands are done, we sometimes grab some Greek food at our friend's restaurant.
Anyway, here is a casual look that I normally wear when we  go out to eat or check something out.  A pair of Levi's jeans, a denim  polo and underneath it is floral shear top.  Grabbed my  red bag and a pair of red flats and I am good to go.
I don't normally wear bracelet or any bling but once in a while, I get into the mood of wearing these two bracelets.
How about you, what's the style you are comfortable with  wearing on a regular basis?  How about on special occasion?

Four-Part Weight Loss Strategy

People can view weight loss in two ways. They can view it as a restrictive burden full of hard work and depravations, or they can view it as a challenge that they can conquer with the right strategy. Each person does have his or her personal set of bodily processes. One person may have more difficulty losing weight than another person does. However, the following four-part strategy can help just about anyone to shed pounds very quickly:

Develop a Positive Attitude

Weight loss starts with a positive attitude. The person has to believe that he or she is capable of shedding pounds for it to happen. Negative attitudes bring forth negative results in many cases. Therefore, a person must be able to close his or her eyes and say the words, “I can do this.”

Conduct Research

A multitude of fad diets, crash diets and aggressive products are on the market. A person will want to ensure that he or she does not fall into the trap of wanting fast results no matter what the cost. The person should look for natural weight-loss methods instead.

Change Dietary Habits

Every person can benefit from some dietary changes. A person could benefit especially if he or she wants to lose weight quickly. Two tips that can cause quick results are:

  • Drink eight glasses of water per day
  • Eat five to six small meals per day
  • Do not eat after 9 p.m.

Water cleanses the system and hydrates a person. The recommended amount of daily water intake is eight glasses. Increasing one’s water intake can prevent dehydration, and it can help to promote healthy elimination and waste shedding. Eating five to six small meals per day will increase metabolism. Additionally, avoiding eating snacks after 9 p.m. will keep the person from gaining unnecessary weight. The body’s metabolism naturally slows down when the sun goes down.

Exercise Regularly
Adding a vigorous exercise routine to the aforementioned strategy can bring some amazing results. A person can lose weight by performing cardiovascular activity for at least 20 minutes three times per week. Examples of cardiovascular activities are treadmill running, star stepping, bicycling, walking and rowing. A rowing machine can raise the heart rate as well as build muscles in the legs and arms. An interested person could find a rowing machine at an organization such as the one found at https://www.uniquefit1.com/categories/view/225-. The previously mentioned tips will provide a good start for anyone who wants to make some naturally slimming changes.

Family Get Together

We had a busy weekend last week.  On Friday when we visited Dad, we  found a note  on his table that  a relative from Virginia is visiting.  Although we  had an appointment that day, we made sure to make time for it to see the family.
The last time we saw them was  during my brother-in-law's funeral so it was a good time this year.  Although they were sad to see Dad's  health condition is.  My father-in-law's health is not doing so well but we are thankful that he is still around.
I just hope that the siblings could come to a decision on what is best for Dad.  My husband think that Dad would get a 24/7 care from a home but my SIL thinks that it would kill him if we moved him away from his own home where he lives alone right now.  My husband's point is that, Dad can't live alone especially that he can no longer see and the fact that he drinks doesn't help either.  My SIL wants us to take turn  in taking care of Dad's which I totally understand because I  caiome from a collective family where we take care of our parents when they are old, no question asks, that's just  how our culture is.  But over here, it is different.
I am willing to take care of my FIL 24/7 if he could live with us but having a two bedroom house, my husband does not like the idea.  I can't be at his house  for long because I also have two kids to care of and my husband is always working,.  On his days off, he does his online classes.  Right now, no decision is being made and I am afraid that one day, when we visit, Dad would be laying on the floor, lifeless.  He is a second father to me and I love him dearly so I want the best for him before he goes. I hope that his kids can set aside their differences and come to a decision.  It's hard for me to see when Dad is drunk because it reminds me of my father who passed away because of it.  I just wish, they did not start him drinking because now, it is hard to break from it.   I can only pray that God will always look after him because we can't be there 24/7.
On the lighter note, after visiting the family, we left early because we had a family pirtrait appointment.  One of the family photos will be used for the church directory but we had fun  with the pictorial.  The photopgrapher was  really good, he made you feel very comfortable in front of the camera.  We ended up  paying one package ($178 and some) although we didn't plan it but we love all the shots so it was a well-spent money.
I took a snap of the two when the photographer was taking shots of them.  Will share all the photos when we  receive them.
It was a busy day but we were happy to see the family.  Here's us with the fur babies when we came home.  My buddies are not really keen in taking pictures these days anymore but I tink they would appreciate all these photos when they are adult already and have their own family. I wish my parents could have took pictures of us when we were growing up  but we never had family photos so now that I have the means to do it, I take pictures every day, whether they like it or not lol.  Thanks for visiting.

Pacifica Natural Beauty and a Muse Contest

Have you heard about the Pacifica Muse Contest?  A muse always reminds me of my  high school days  whenever we have to  pick the prettiest  in our class to be our muse.    Our teacher would always say that the  muse must not only possess the  physical beauty but she has to be  inspiring, and most importantly, can get along well with others.
At Pacifica, muse are inspired by beauty, fearlessness and innovation. So they are looking for their next Pacifica Muse, can you be "IT?" If you think, you have the fearlessness and edge for this contest, it's time to create a beauty video that shows an original look and explain how you inspire those around you. You can show them your personal style that would inspire others! Submission of the video begins May 15 and ends June 12, You can check and enter the contest here.

Anyway, here is what Pacifica sent me:  Two natural eye pencilm Stellar Gaze mineral mascara, coconut -infused mineral eye shadows.
This rich mineral  color natural eye pencils are waterproof.  I like waterproof  eye pencil and mascara because I am not used to  putting  eye make up so when I do, it always makes me want to tear up so it is important that I am using a  waterproof one.
I mentioned in my  previous posts that I don't wear make up that often  but I do love putting mascara on.  I love this mineral mascara  is infused with coconut and Vitamin B.
Putting eye shadows is quite tricky for me.  I am still learning how to do this right so having this would give me that  chance to improve it.
My Mom always told me when I was growing up that simplicity is beauty so this is the boldest I could wear make up, just a touch of blush on the cheeks, a little eye make up  and lipsticl.  Most of the times, I only wear lip gloss..

Beauty's Best Kept Secret #SeeForYourself

Disclosure: The owner of this blog was NOT financially compensated to write this review.  I was provided with the products mentioned  in exchange of my honest  opinion which may differ from yours.

This is my third Voxbox from Influenster.   This is by far my  favorite as it really the products I   want ti try for my skin's issues.  The Beauty's best kept secret is from Ponds.
The two age defying beauty products that Ponds sent me includes Dark Spot Correcting Cream and the Anti Wrinkle Cream.
As you can see in the photo, I have dark sports in both of my cheeks.  MY second pregnancy  caused that and 8 years later, it still there.  I have tried a couple of  products to address this issue but  it never resolved it so I am hoping that this Dark Spot Correcting Cream from Ponds will  bring me magic and do the trick.
Here is the full description of  the POND'S Clarant B3 Dark Spot Correcting Cream:
Formulated with a complex of Vitamins B3 and C, this daily moisturizer fights discoloration to visibly diminish dark spots in 4 weeks, so skin looks more even toned and radiant.

The essential features include:

  • Dermatologist tested
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Won't clog pores
The key ingredients are
  • Vitamin B3 - Known to reduce skin discolorations and redness.
  • Vitamin C - Known for its antioxidant rejuvenation properties.
At  41, fine lines are starting to appear  around my  eyes and forehead so I am  hoping that this Anti Wrinkle cream will somehow help  eliminate some of this wrinkles.  We will see.

Update:  As you can see in these last two photos, the wrinkles in my forehead are still visible but it  eliminates some of the lines  under my eyes.To address the dark spots on both of my cheeks, it lighten up a little bit but it is still visible.  The two week challenge isn't enough to address  the issue but I still have a lot of the products so hopefully,  it will continue to work out for me.

"I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."
