Multi Layered Poppies

These gorgeous flowers are very easy to grow but it is not good to transplant them because they usually die.

The only downside of these multi layered poppies is the not-so-good  smell and the bloom doesn't last very long.

A black spider we saw at Tomlinson Run Park

My husband is scared of spiders.  I laughed when I first learned about because I grew up  playing with spiders that we find in the rice field.  Of course, those aren't the type  that could kill you when they bite.  I would not dare hold  a tarantula  or any other spiders that are huge and hairy, that would scare me too lol.

Rhododendron

Rhododendron is West Virginia's state flower. This beauties are also called great laurel. According to the article that I read online, this flower is selected to be the state's flower in 1903.

Isn't it so beautiful!!!
