August Oasis

August is so much fun but a very  busy month for us.  Aside from squeezing a last  summer getaway, we have been busy  with the back to school stuff.  The problem I have when we go  for a vacation is that, it is hard  for me to get my mojo back to blogging.

Anyway, I want to share  this Oasis Voxbox that I got from Influenster this month.  It has  Eva NYC Mane  Magic hair primer, Covergirl Vitalis Healthy Elixir foundation, Aloha protien bars, Welch Fruit Rolls,  and Vera Wang Embrace  fragrances.
My favorite is  the fragrances and the   energy bar.  I need more of this Aloha  energy bar since I  started running again.  I always look for something that could fuel my run  or jog each morning.  Now that my kids are back to school, I have time to  do my outdoor work out again.  I love going for a run  early in the morning after I drop the kids off to school but I never left home with an empty stomach, I gotta have something  before I go.  These energy bars are  perfect to grab on the go.

We recently lost  a dear friend to a cancer and it's a rude awakening for us and it made us  examine ourselves and made us aware of our own  health.  I am only 44 but sometimes I feel sluggish so I am trying to  be in shape before  Winter comes.  Winter is my least favorite season  because it prevents me from enjoying my cardio  outdoors.  Although I have  some machine to use at home, it can be so boring so I am taking  all the  opportunities that I have now to  get in shape while I can.  I am also encouraging my husband  to do the same because I want us to grow old and  see our children grow.  With that being said, eating healthy and   incorporating exercise into our routine is what we are  doing.

Dressing Up Our Mirror on the Wall for the Holiday

To appreciate each and everyone who sent us  beautiful  holiday cards, I displayed them at our  mirror in the hallway.  I used a  short string of  Christmas light and formed it into a tree  in our wall mirror.  I then clipped the  greeting cards that we received from friends and family this year.
I decided to  remove the  feather boa from the scarf that my niece -in-law, Erica, has given me  years ago and used it  to further dress up my display.  I couldn't use the scarf because the boa is itchy so I decided to remove it.
It looks more dramatic though without the flash and with lights off.  The Christmas lights   give the display the brightness that it needs.
Dressing Up Our Mirror on the Wall for the Holiday is so much fun!
Thank you all for remembering us and for your   your thoughtfulness this  holiday season.
From my family to yours, have a Merry Christmas!  I wish you a happy and prosperous 2015!

Walking in Maryland was Fun

As I have mentioned in my former post we walked the whole time we were in Ocean City. We never drove our van anywhere went. We figured, mine as well walk and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean. So even going to the park which is a bit far, we also walked. Glad our kids are real troopers lol.
The restaurant that we love  is very far from our  hotel  but we always walk so  we could burn whatever we eat going back lol.  It was fun though because the kids don't really notice as we walk to the o shore going back.
The rate of these hotels by the ocean  are so expensive.
See, we busied ourselves picking our seashells  going back so walking wasn't really tiring.
Imagine  if we didn't walk the whole time we were there, I could have gained  5 or ten pounds  instead of just two lol.  Ocean City is beautiful but it is just too busy for us.  We are  used to living here in our little town that a busy  place like Ocean City is too much!  We had fun though.

Exploring Texas

It was the month of June when we decided to go to Texas.  It was still  cool  from our  state but  when we  landed there, oh man, it was hot!  Gladly, most of the  attractions that we explored offered covered walkways which gave us   some shade.  I think the hottest adventure we did was exploring the Alamo, we  chose the wrong day to go there as it was too hot.  I felt bad for the kids as they were  sweating  and  their cheeks looked pink!

The weather did not hinder us from having fun though.    We   tried to see different things while we were there as we never know when we could go back there again.  My kids were very fond of Shamu attraction in Sea World. They were so amazed how  these big  sea critters can be trained.

Walking around Alamo was fun as it was very rich with history but the weather was   just intense.   I did not even have the  energy to take photos of the  beautiful surroundings. What I enjoyed there the most was the river walk attraction.  It was a relief to finally  explore the place without walking.

We definitely would want to go back there if we have a chance in the future.

Exotic Aruba Island

The weather here is getting colder everyday and I am dreaming of a warmer  weather such as spending a sunny walk on a sandy beach in Aruba. I have never been to Aruba yet but judging from the  beautiful images  seen at the   Aruba travel, I am convinced that  it is a beautiful island to be explored!  Just like what  the video  says about the place, I would be really   deluighted to visit there one day.

These photos shows how Aruba looks like a paradise.  It would be great spend your honeymoon there or  wedding anniversary!
There are many events  that   tourists can enjoy and lots of local cuisine to try.  Those exotic food is what I am very interested in exploring.  It is always nice to  explore  the local foods of a place3 that you have never been into. There are bus services that ensures you to explore downtown, resort areas and  restaurants for a fair price.  If you want to learn  how much  it cost to visit the place, you  can visit the website and  explore the possibilities of fun that you can have  in Aruba.  Another good thing is that foreign and international  licences are accepted so if you want to drive around, you can and parking is free all though out the island.

If you were to go to Aruba, what occasion would you pick to celebrate in this exotic Island?

Five Most Beautiful and Must See Destinations of the World

Australia
Land of legends and the largest island in the world, Australia ranks at 1st place in this list of the most beautiful countries. Its rich landscape is striking. The long east coast and its tropical climate contrast is just perfect with the red, arid desert center. The Great Barrier Reef, the "capital" Aboriginal Alice Springs, the sacred rock of Uluru, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin are all names that everyone has heard of.

Australia is also home to the great outdoors with a territory 12 times of France with only 22 million inhabitants. The beaches of the east coast are beautiful, such as the Whitsundays, which are part of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.
Turkey
Diversity of landscape and culture, Turkey is a country to discover generously, its mountains, cities, beaches and legendary history earns it the 2nd place in this list. Behind the bazaars in shimmering colors, this is a story of a glorious past of an Ottoman empire that has inspired mankind.

Turkey is a bridge between two worlds, East and West. Istanbul is the only city in the world to span two continents, separated by the Bosphorus and has three legendary names that everyone has heard at least once: Byzantium, Constantinople and Istanbul.
Canada
Gigantic forests, majestic mountains, lakes, beavers and lumberjacks ... Canada and snowy mountains of the North highlight the splendor and power of nature. The man has learned to live with the ardor to better appreciate the beauty of a huge country, where the seasons succeed each other with extreme creativity. White snow of a harsh winter to shimmering maple leaves in autumn, Canada offers an endless cycle of scented delights.

Brazil
16 times as large as France, Brazil never ceases to amaze everyone with its contrasts. Besides the human aspect, where the splendor of the Rio Carnival is a perfect example of the ardent fervor that exists in this country, it   predominates Brazil. In Amazonia trépignante, life through the Pantanal wetlands to drought quadrilateral, everything is just a call to the extreme.

Thailand
A real paradise: a turquoise water at 30 °, the absolutely stunning coral reefs, white sand and coconut trees, this is what comes to mind when one mentions Thailand. But that's not all, because if the hot sun and sand aspect is a big part of representation in this country, there is also Bangkok and its 10 million inhabitants and the Buddhist temples of northern territory of ancient kingdoms founders.

The scenery is varied and the tropical climate allows for an average annual temperature near 28 degrees.

Chinhae, South Korea

When we were still living in Chinhae, South Korea, family walk was always one of the fun things we did as a family.  We used to bring the double stroller when the Burritos are not in the mood to exercise their legs lol.  I noticed that in these series of photos, me and  hubby were all smiles while the Burritos  were so serious!
Our son was talking about the "blue house" (that's what he called the home we lived in there) today and it made us all nostalgic.  We wish to visit there someday when budget permits.

Trips and Camps

My friend who lives in New York just posted their outdoor  adventure pictures at one of the social network.  Just by  looking at the photos, it looks like there's plenty of  places to explore and activities to do in New York. If you are looking for a perfect summer experience for your family like  camping, check out the   Sleepaway Camps In New York.  You can find summer program options for  kids and adults alike at Tips on Trips and Camps website such as wilderness expedition, teen camps and tours, creative  and performing arts, community services opportunities and more.

When it comes to outdoor activities, my family is all up for it especially if  involves nature trekking.  We did not go for a major vacation this year but we definitely explore the  local places that we know so the kids can enjoy the rest of the summer.  Is a bummer that the weather is starting to get cooler each day which means that summer is about to end.  We still have plan to visit one of my father-in-law's sister who live down in West Union.  My children love it there because they live way down in the countryside and there's a  creek near their house.   It would be  great  to be able to do that again.  Below is just  some of the photos I took during our last visit there.
