Money Isn't Everything... Family IS!

Some thinks  that money is everything but I beg to disagree.  Even if you have all the  riches in the world but you don't have a family that loves you, everything is   meaningless.  Money plays a   role in raising a family  but the most important thing that you can give  them is your TLC, your love and affection, and your time which money can't buy.

A colleague asked me once  "How come you are not working, you are wasting your time just staying at home".  I want to answer  the said person "Oh I do work and  it's full time  one!"  The truth is, I am not wasting my time, I am investing it into  the most important  thing that my  kids need.  I may not give them   the most expensive things but I am sure that they will appreciate the time I spent with them when they grow up and have a family of their own.

I don't mean to offend   working Moms, in fact  I   admire them for having both,  career and family.  But am sure that  if you ask a lot of Moms who are working, they would prefer to be with their kids as well.  Sometimes you have to sacrifice in order to achieve multiple  goals  in life.  I chose family over career because  that's what matters most to me and my family.

  1. I was lucky and was a stay at home mom! Once in a while if we were in a pinch I went to work, but mostly I was home....I know that there are situations that dictate the mom works and I think that is sad for the whole family and one of things wrong with the children today...bad manners, foul language, etc.
So, feel proud and know you are sending your children out into the world well prepared!

    1. Thanks a lot Jil, that means a lot. I do online gigs from time to time and it helps our budget as well. It is not a stable job but I like the fact that I can do it at home and at the same time, I can take care of my kids and husband. The extra hundreds that I could get working outside my home is not worth it if I would ask other people to take care of my kids. I think it is just a matter of choice and circumstances.

  2. You are one in a million that can truthfully say they put their family first. I agree with you whole heartily. There seems now days so much emphasis put on money and material things. Bless you and your great family.

  9. Life itself is precious, the most priceless thing we have is our family. Money is merely a tool, our relationships are why we love life first. Nicely captured family (and dogs are family members too :)

  10. You have a beautiful family. Yes, I'm sure your children will appreciate all the attention you have given them when they get older and become parents themselves.

  11. Rose, you are absolutely right. Sometimes you do sacrifice when you stay home. And sometimes the sacrifice is too great for some and they can't. I stayed home with mine until they were in middle school before I went back to work. I wouldn't change that for anything. I wish every mother had the opportunity.
    These are wonderful family photos!!

  18. yes, if you were to ask me, a working mom, I would prefer to stay at home, or better, work part time at home so I can attend to my kids and my hubby after my part time work is finished. I would really love to do that. I'm dreaming again...
