Family Wall Decal

I had a  great opportunity of working with Katazoom. They sent me different designs to review and I like all of them but this decorative Family wall decal is my favorite.  We have a big plain  mirror in our hallway and I wanted to spice it up with  something that would compliment the Asian theme displays I have around it.

Applying the wall decal is as easy as counting one, two, three.  Here are some tools you may need:

  1. level
  2. yard stick or straight edge
  3. blue painter's tape
  4. credit card or or similar to burnish  the material into the wall
  5. pencil
I just eyeball the distances  when I applied mine and I used the squeegee  that I  have from the former company that I work with before when I was a given a chance to  review the Mighty Horse wall decal from my other blog.  I think that  Katazoom should consider adding squeegee to their products although credit cards would work well but it would be   great to have the proper tool to apply it on the wall.

As you can see, my helper is so eager to do the job.  We have done this  kind of project  a couple of times before so I let them helped me again this time.  That is why IO did not use any measurement.  It's the imperfection that makes it perfect  anyway, in my opinion.

Make sure that the surface is clean.  You can use an alcohol based  all purpose cleaner.  I use windex glass cleaner on mine.  Lay your  graphic flat.  Rub the entire graphic with credit card or squeegee.  Then you can measure  and position your graphic using  blue tape.  I did not use any tape nor measure anything. Then you can remove the backing paper without touching the  the lettering  or graphic then carefully lay the graphic back down and  rub the enter graphic with credit card.

I think that the  decorative family wall decal makes the plain mirror into something artistic.  I also added some family pictures at the bottom.  What do you think?  If you like what you see, you can order  yours, just visit the link above.  This  family wall decal  cost $29.99.  Thank you Katazoom!

  18. Beautiful! Looking at the picture, it looks hard to accomplish but it turned out so awesome! But here's one thing though. I think it's better if there are no picture frames below if it's in my home. :)

    1. Hi Nova, your husband is wrong. IT is actually very easy to removed them. Believe me because I tried it already. After I put one decal in one place and did not like it, I transferred it to another place and removing it from one place to the other isn't hard at all.

  21. Pretty decals sis. I told you earlier that I am so tempted to check their site, right? Well, if we can only take it back to the Philippines after installing them, I don't see why I shouldn't buy. I feel bad leaving those pretty decals here.
