2017 Monthly Family Pictures #MissionAccomplished

At the start of this year, we were talking about things to do as a family that we could stick to.  We thought it would be fun to take family pictures every month.   This is the last  photo of us together for the year 2017.  I am not sure if we will keep what we have started but I thought  would be a fun thing to look back to after the year has passed.
December 2017
In November, we decided to go to Sugarcreek Ohio to see how it looks like in the Fall.  On our way home, we dropped by at Tappan Lake  totake our family picture.  I came prepared, I took our tripod on our trip.  I love the birds on the background.
November 2017
October was fun, we attended my son's Football Banquet over at William Golf and Country Club in Marland Heights.  I will miss this  event next year if my son does not play.  He said he will take a break so we will see what he decide.  We don't want to  force him to play if he does not want to play.
October 2017
September was full of school activities so I was always out of the house and attending their events in school.  I am so blessed to be able to  witnessed every event that my kids have.  Being a work at home mom, I can say that  it has so many advantages.  I can't thank my husband enough for letting me
September 2017
August was  my favorite.  We went on a vacation in Las Vegas and also had a road trip from Vegas to Arizona  and saw Grand Canyon.  It was  the most exciting  wedding anniversary we had, great way to celebrate our 14th year!  We also had an upset  moment  on this month as we lost a dear friend  to a cancer.
August 2017
Our daughter turned 12 in July.  This month was full of outdoor activities for us all.  We normally celebrate her birthday on  a vacation but  this was different because of conflict in schedule.  Nevertheless, we had fun during her birthday at home.
July 2017
June is my birth month, I turned 44.  Although my mind  still thinks I am in my younger 20s but my body says  otherwise lol.  Oh the  fun of getting old!
June 2017
May is  special, celebrating mother's day always makes me appreciate the sacrifices my Mom did  for us growing up.  So even if I have tough time with my own  motherhood experience sometimes, I always remember that my Mom  had it  worse than what I have.  If I would compare my experience to her, I  can totally say I am super blessed!
May 2017
April was the first Easter that we realized, my FIL was no longer with us.  We normally visit him but this time, he was gone.
April 2017
March was a tough month for us, we lost my husband's Dad.  He was a great father-in-law, he treated me like his own daughter so it was so tough for me and my kids.  But as hard as it was losing him, we were relieved that he finally rest in peace.  He lived a great life and left us great memories.
March 2017
Hubby turned 48 on this month.  He said, he has a couple of years to enjoy his 40s before  he turn golden lol.  I am so proud of this guy, he never gave up on continuing his education.  He is now on his last two subjects for his master's degree.  He will graduating next Spring.
February 2017
This was the  conceptualization of our goal of taking monthly family picture.  It was a fun  experience.  The kids are not up to it all the time  but I am sure, when they are  all grown, they would appreciate these photos that they can look back to.  Speaking of which, I have yet to print some of the highlights of our year.  I have been slacking of  printing photos, hopefully I can do it before the end of the year.  I have two more weeks to do it, we will see.
January 2017
Anyway, I wish you all a Merry Christmas. May the new year brings you all so much happiness, good luck and prosperity, and great slate of health.  God bless us all and thank you for being part of my online adventure.

October Family Photo and Football Banquet

I can't believe that  October only has one day left, time  flies so quickly.  It's time to post our monthly goal of taking a family photo.  Our plan was to take some  photos at the Williams Golf and Country Club at Marland Heights but it was raining and  cold that we  scraped the idea.  We just took a couple  of shots when we arrived home after the party.
This year's football season was not a really victorious for the Junior Dons but still a learning  season for all of them.  My son is  discouraged and doesn't want to play next year, we will see.  This is his second season playing and I think he wants to be able to have a and on the ball, after all he is given the position where he is supposed to get the ball  through the course of the  each game but nothing.  He wanted to quit  in the middle of the season but we told him to finish  it and  have a break  next year.
He wasn't feeling well  since Friday but since we already paid for the  banquet, we went there and celebrated with the rest of the  team and their families.  One thing I like  about the football program is that at the end of every season, the  coaches  give each athlete the recognition they deserve which means  that they care.
All  players were given  a Jr. Dons  blanket and a hat and  the older boys get big framed photo which is nice.
It's hard taking  clear photos with my long lens.  My short camera lens got damaged when we  had our vacation in Las Vegas so I am using the long one.  Hopefully, Santa will bring me a new lens to replace  the other one.
The scenery going to the golf course is beautiful.  Photos were not as bright as it was raining and taking photos in a wet windshield is  rough.
I love  Fall but when it rains, it  is depressing.
Anyway, here's to another month that will passed by.  Two  more months and 2017 will be history.  MY daughter is already asking when we are putting the Christmas decor.  I told her that we might get it up after the Halloween.  We will see.
Hopefully, my son will feel better so he could enjoy the occasion.  I am not  looking forward for the cold  but it is  always safer to go with the kids when trick or treating.  With the crazy things happening these days, it's hard to not worry about your children's safety.  Have a safe Halloween celebration everybody.

Hair, Skin, and Nails Supplement and September Family Photo

I woke up with a migraine today but we had things to do so I  took some headache medicine and   went on with our plan.  Before we left,  I reviewed my  to do list panicked a little because   I thought we still  have another week with September but I was completely   surprised that today is in fact the last  day of the month, ugh.  Where did the time go?
Anyway,  before my  pregnancies, I used to have thick hair and seldom  get skin allergies.  For some reason, after my son was born, my hair started falling  off and now it is getting thinner and thinner  that you can almost see my  scalp  which  makes me seek for some alternatives to get my thick hair back.  I was lucky to have been sent  a bottle of this Ultimate Hair, Skin, and Nails dietary supplement from SeabuckWonders.

This product has a combination of  biotin and  sea buckthorn oil that boosts  the health of your skin, hair, and  nails. The Sea buckthorn oil's omega content nourishes and restores the  cellular health throughout the body. People like me who have issues with  skin and hair can really benefit  the soothing effect of this supplement.    I have only been  taking this for a week and I can already  see the effect it is  creating on my hair.  I've seen lesser hair in the shower drain now and I am very happy about that.
To continue with our goal of taking one family picture every month, here is for the month of September.  This was taken  a couple of weeks ago after we attended the mass at church.  We thought of taking it in the backyard while the weather still permits us to do so.
September 2017
And yes, there is always a goofy  shot  after  the first one.  They warned me not  to post it but hey, it's nice to  show the goofy side of them lol.

July Round Up #FamilyPictureJuly

July has been the busiest  so far for my family.  Between trying to finish our  DIY projects at home and   doing some road trips from here and there, we  definitely  made use of our time this month.  One thing is  for sure,  we  seize every moment of it together with our children.  We didn't want  the time to go by without spending it with our precious.
Hubby and I also made it a priority to  take care of our health.  It's  odd that after we finished our major project of doing our  fence, we are both suffering from neck and shoulder pain.  I am not sure what causes that but we are  going to our doctor to  have it checked.  Other than that, we are doing  okay.
Aside from doing projects which keeps as active, we  also  play tennis and  take walks  with our children regularly to keep us busy and keeping happiness alive.  I love this  quote about happiness.
I love this quote about happiness.

To continue on with our  monthly goal, I am reposting this family picture taken during my daughter's birthday.

I am happy to  have been given to  try LEAN PM, a  powerful fat loss supplement  and  sleep aid.  I bought one  bottle for my husband  last month and he liked it and it  produced result on him  so I said maybe I should try it since I have a hard time  falling asleep.  I am also struggling to lose the  10 pounds  I have gained  last year.  I am  pleasantly surprised when the  seller contacted me  and asked if I would like to try  this in exchange  for a review  which I immediately accepted.

After three weeks of using it, I have good night sleep and I also lost 5 pounds.  I was stuck at 103 lbs  even with work out  but after taking Lean PM, I am now at 98 lbs.  I finally reached my ideal weight.  I just wish that I could be consistent with my work out, I keep slacking.  If you are having trouble falling asleep and  also trying to shed some  pounds off, I recommend  this Lean PM.  You can  buy it via amazon.  It worked for me and my husband.  Here's what you can expect from this product

#BirthdayPresents #THankfulThursday #MonthlyFamilyPhoto #BeautyBox5 #FamilyPictureJune

I love the message that SparkPeople  sent me during my birthday, it's inspiring.  Sometimes, we forget  what matters the most and get distracted  with so many little petty things that we neglect what is important.
I also love  this quote from Buddha.
To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him. Buddha
Now that I am older, I do appreciate every moment that I get to spend with my family and friends especially my husband and children.  My world  revolves with them 24/7 .  My goal  is to spend as much time with them while I am still given the chance.  I know that  they will have their own lives  soon and while they still at home, I would love to spend mine with them .  I wish  that my husband  could retire now so we can  enjoy spending time with each other  as much as I'd like to but since he is the only one providing for our family, it is not feasible at this time.
I love homemade personalized cards from my kids, they are the best.  I compiled them in  scrapbooks or albums.  The sweet little notes  makes my heart  melt, it's rewarding.

Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored. Earl Nightingale

The kids got me  this  dehydrator for my birthday.  They are so sweet.  I haven't tried it yet since we are still so busy with our fence  projects but I will get to it once I have the time.
They always  make fun of me when I open gifts because I don't tear the wrapper .  I always  op\en them carefully lol.
I didn't even know that they are going to get me this.  I mentioned this before to my daughter that it would be nice to have a dehydrator.
We had a little  shopping trip at Robinson mall on my birthday.
My husband gave me this set of matching  bag and wallet.
It matches perfectly with my shoes, it's awesome!
Thanks Hon, I love them!
I took a short video of the  card that my daughter made for me.  It's a progression of a  rose flower.  I thought it was really neat.  My son's message was great too, very tpouching.

A good friend of mine from Japan  sent me a  box full of Japanese goodies, they are all yummy and kawaii!  Thanks a lot Clang and Sasaki family!  Clang is one of the  many bloggers I have met online but few of the ones that really became  great friends with me.  We haven't met in person yet but  our friendship grow stronger even though she no longer blogs.  I get updates on their family's lives on her Instagram and Facebook pages.
Another very good friend of mine who also sent me presents is Dhemz from Texas.  I also met this wonderful lady  in my early days of blogging and became friends with her and  her family for life.  We met personally in Disney World  five years ago  when we came back here from Korea and  we also visited  and traveled with them in Texas.  We can't wait to  meet with them again and visit their new home and see their new baby, we're excited!  It's great to met  people thru blogging and become friends with them for life.

The strong bond of friendship is not always a balanced equation; friendship is not always about giving and taking in equal shares. Instead, friendship is grounded in a feeling that you know exactly who will be there for you when you need something, no matter what or when. Simon Sinek
Last but not the least is this month's goodies from Beauty Box 5.  It contains Jesse's Girl liquid eyeliner, Prestige Cosmetics my biggest lashes mascara, Did Hair's  jeweled hair tie set, Larizy's lip pencil, and Coastal Scents' reveled 3 palette sampler.
I mentioned in my post that I am embracing  the color purple  now that I am in my mid 40s.  BeautyBox5 must have sensed that and I got this eye shadow sampler.   Check out BeautyBox5, it's a fun subscription since you get 5 different products every month.  Most of it are full sizes too.
I think purple is actually a beautiful color.  I wasn't fond of it before  but I am starting to like it.

And for the month of June, here is our family photo.  So far, we haven't failed to take   a family photo each month since January so hooray for that.
