Graduation Day

My husband decided to go back to school after he retired from his 20 years of service in the Navy.  He finished his Accounting degree last Fall at Robert Morris University in PA.  This coming Saturday will be  the commencement exercise so our weekend will be busy again.  He doesn't want to  march for the graduation but I encouraged him to.  It would inspire our kids  that no matter what age you are, if you still want to pursue your education, you can still do it.

I am so glad that he did not  go back to work after retiring because it gave us ample  time for family time.  I miss the time when he was in school because we can do  things a lot but now that he is working again, our time is very limited.  You can't have it all right?  Sacrifice is always a factor  in order to provide a good quality  of life for your children.  I am just grateful that I get to  work at home because I can be with my kids most of the time and attend to their needs.

He will receive his degree with a flying colors, a Suma Cumlaude honor will be awarded to him.  We are so proud of you Dad!

  10. Congrats to him. I never walked for my graduation either, but it was because my son could not go unless someone took him as he was only 8 and my parents would not go. I think it is a great idea for him to walk and that your kids would see it.
